FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What size roof truss do I need for my camper?   99% of the time, manufacturers will use 95" trusses on their trailers to keep them road legal ( 8.5' wide or less). The shorter 82.5" trusses are ideal for truck bed campers or pop-up camper builds.

What is the difference between residential windows and camper windows?   While residential and recreational/camper windows may share some of the same specifications, such as being slider windows or insulated, residential windows usually require nailing flanges to be mounted. Camper/RV windows use a trim ring that's mounted from the inside of the camper and pulls the window itself tight to the wall of the trailer, and gets sealed with non-sag lap sealant on the outside wall. This creates a clean and seamless finish on the outside of your camper/RV, reducing risk of leaks.
